China's exports of rare earths fell 44% in July from the previous month, customs data showed on Friday, suggesting the coronavirus has devastated demand for the precious minerals. According to the volume table of key national export commodities released by the General Administration of Customs in July 2020, the export volume of rare earths last month was 1,620.3 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 69.1%. China's rare earth export volume from January to July was 22,735.8 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20.2%.
